The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a police officer has shot and wounded a person while serving a warrant in Moose Lake.
The BCA says members of the Carlton County Consolidated Emergency Response Team were serving the warrants about 4:30 p.m. Monday at a residence in Hillside Terraces Mobile Home Park. Authorities say the warrants were related to an investigation into a recent incident involving the person who was shot.
Officers used a flash-bang device to enter the residence and at one point, a member of the law enforcement team shot the person. The BCA hasn't said why the officer fired.
The person shot was taken to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake and then taken by air ambulance to St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. There's no word on his or her condition.
