The Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival is underway, and one film that will be screened on Sunday is "Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins."
The Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist became famous as a smart, salty and often outrageous newspaper columnist based in her home state of Texas. But Ivins started her career in the late 1960s as a police reporter for the old Minneapolis Tribune.
MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with the documentary's director, Janice Engel, about Ivins and her legacy. Engel will be at a reception after the film's 4:30 p.m. screening on Sunday. You can learn more at the festival's website.
