The new host of MPR's 11 a.m. program, Angela Davis, started on Monday. Davis comes to public radio after nearly 30 years in television news — and shortly after turning 50 years old.
On her first day, we'll talk about midlife career changes. So you want to do something new in your 50s or 60s? How can you get started? What are the hurdles? How can you escape your comfort zone? What's it like to leave — and start — a new job midlife? This is a show for people who are curious about making a change.
Davis spoke with a career coach who helps older people transition into new jobs in Minnesota, and a woman who left her corporate career to chase a dream of opening her own fitness center.
