For many, Thursday was only the second day this month with above normal temperatures. We've been dominated by cooler than normal weather so far, ranking among the coldest 10 historically for the first half of the month on a statewide basis.
But winter could be warmer than usual. The NOAA Climate Prediction Center released the latest winter outlook this week.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with University of Minnesota professor emeritus Mark Seeley about the forecast.
