Joseph Lafrombosie was found safe on St. Paul's West Side, police said. No other information was immediately available.
Officers said earlier in the morning that they were searching for the 8-year-old boy last seen on a gold mountain bike.
The disappearance was not considered suspicious but authorities were concerned.
