The chief executive of Carlson, the Twin Cities-based travel and hospitality giant, is stepping down May 1.
Trudy Rautio, who worked for the company for 18 years, is retiring, Carlson said in a statement Thursday. Rautio took the helm in 2012 after Hubert Joly moved to Best Buy.
Carlson said that it will have a new leadership structure when Rautio leaves in May. The travel and hospitality operations will each have their own CEO.
David Berg, the company's chief operating officer, has been named the CEO for Carlson Hospitality.
Doug Anderson has been CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel since 2008, and will begin reporting directly to the Carlson board in May.
