DFL Gov. Mark Dayton is trying to meet with legislative leaders this week in hopes of heading off a potential showdown over the state lottery.

Dayton opposes the fast-moving bill that would limit how lottery games are sold, and he's already threatening a veto.

The governor and some DFL legislators are also raising concerns about an emergency funding measure that's gotten hung up in the House.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio Capitol reporter Tim Pugmire about the week ahead for lawmakers.
