Hennepin County authorities are searching for a suspect tied to a shootout with police Tuesday. The incident triggered a manhunt that led to searches of a St. Louis Park Byerly's grocery and an Edina neighborhood.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday night the suspect is "believed to be in Jordan, Minnesota." The sheriff's office says many agencies are working together in the town about 35 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
Hennepin Sheriff Rich Stanek said the incident began when St. Louis Park police responded to a 911 call in the 6500 block of Cambridge Drive.
Police say they found a man armed with a shotgun sitting in a car. Shots were fired, but no officers were injured, Stanek said.
The man is identified as David Michael Winters, 41.
Stanek said Winters is believed to be dangerous. He's a white man about 5 foot 8 inches tall. He may be wounded and armed.
The search for Winters led heavily armed officers to surround the Byerly's on Park Center Boulevard in St. Louis Park.
The store was placed on lockdown by SWAT officers and customers evacuated, but Winters was not found in the store, Stanek said.
Reports of a bullet-ridden car led police to Edina where officials connected the vehicle to the earlier shootout.
U.S. 169 northbound at Minnesota Highway 62 in Edina was closed briefly because of a reported shooting that authorities said was related.
Later in the afternoon, police and SWAT teams combed an area of West 7th Street and Lincoln Drive in Edina, just off U.S. 169, which was blocked off as they searched for Winters.
By 4:05 p.m. the scene was starting to clear and police were telling residents they'd soon be able to return to their homes.
"We found nobody" Edina Police Sgt. Brian Hubbard said, adding that the neighborhood is safe.
