Today's music is from 30 years ago this week when "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker, Jr. was the No. 1 song on the U.S. pop charts.
Parker says he was commissioned to write the song for the movie and only had a few days to complete it.
He was having trouble coming up with a way to incorporate the title into the lyrics until he was inspired by a late night TV advertising jingle.
By the way, future Minnesota U.S. Senator Al Franken makes a cameo appearance in the music video for the song.
