Today's Morning Edition music is the song "Monster Movies" a new single from the Twin Cities-based musician and composer Mark Mallman.
In a press release, Mallman said the song is the result of cabin fever.
"My friends and I would stay inside dancing all night to anything from 'Miss You' to 'Ashes to Ashes.' Then, the next day, I'd wake up around 3 p.m., down a gallon of water and ibuprofen, and start writing songs based off of what we were partying to. 'Monster Movies' came out of those sessions," he said.
