Sen. Al Franken is up with his second ad in as many weeks.
This one focuses on a woman named Holly Peterson, who contracted meningitis after getting a contaminated steroid injections.
Franken sponsored legislation to crack down on the type of pharmacies that distributed the contaminated injections.
The ad is running statewide. According to documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission, Franken is spending nearly $200,000 to run the ads on four major networks in the Twin Cities.
This is Franken's second ad of his re-election campaign. One of his potential opponents, Mike McFadden, has ads up, too.
