The Walker Art Center has announced this summer's round of music and movies in the park, and the films all center on the theme of time. The Walker is playing off its screening of "Christian Marclay: The Clock," which opens in the Burnet Gallery June 14.
"The Clock" is itself a compilation of movie clips that feature a shot of a clock or wrist watch, a common technique for marking the passage of time or creating a sense of urgency.
The free movie screenings run Mondays in August preceded by live music at 7 p.m.; the screening begin at dusk. The first three film showings take place in Loring Park; the final screening takes place on the Walker's Open Field on Aug. 25.
