Today's Morning Edition music is from 50 years ago this week when the Rolling Stones released their first album. It was mostly cover versions of American Rhythm and Blues songs, but there were a few original compositions like this one called "Little By Little." The liner notes indicate that it was written by Nanker Phelge, a pseudonym the band used for group compositions, and Phil Spector. The famous producer was on hand for the recording sessions that produced the album. So was singer and songwriter Gene Pitney who played the piano on this track.
