The television series "Fargo," which is set mostly in a fictional version of Bemidji, debuts tonight on the FX network. The 1996 Coen Brothers movie that the TV show is based on was set in Fargo, Brainerd and the Twin Cities. For better or worse, the people and places in that movie created an enduring image of our region. One of the people who will be watching the TV show closely tonight will be Amanda Thompson. She was a student living in Fargo when the movie came out. She told Morning Edition producer Jim Bickal about her experience seeing "Fargo" in the old downtown Fargo Theater.
