A body found in a vacant lot in Hastings has been identified as a missing 29 year old woman from Davenport, Iowa.
Carrie Olson was last seen at a gas station in Rock Island, Ill., on December 28. Video from a surveillance camera shows her putting fuel in her car. She didn't show up for work two days later. Police reportedly questioned a man who had driven her car, but released him later.
Supporters raised a $12,000 reward for information about Olson's disappearance, and authorities said her wallet, cell phone and laptop were also missing.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner now says that a body found Saturday is Olson's. It was found in a vacant lot about seven miles southeast of downtown Hastings.
The Medical Examiner says the cause of her death is under investigation, and that the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and the Davenport Police Department are working on the case.
