A week after they blew the roof off the Metrodome with explosives, demolition crews started taking down the outer walls of the Metrodome today.

They're working in the Gate B area, just off of 4th Street. Plans call for the demolition to proceed counter-clockwise around the bowl to make way for the new stadium. If all goes as planned, the Metrodome will be nothing but a memory by May.
