A man was found shot to death outside the popular Epic nightclub in downtown Minneapolis overnight.

Police say they were called to the Warehouse District nightclub at 110 N. 5th St. just before 1 a.m. Sunday and found the man outside on the sidewalk.

Investigators say they think there had been an altercation inside Epic that turned violent and resulted in gunfire. The victim was taken outside where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the suspect fled and no arrests have been made.
