Minnesota's House Democrats unveiled a $250 million property tax reduction package. Much of the tax relief would go to homeowners through a bump of $157 million to the Homestead Credit Refund. Another $15.5 milllion would go towards the state Renter's Credit.

Part of the bill would also send notifications to people who are eligible for existing property tax refunds to file to get them.
