The bill establishing Minnesota's controversial health insurance exchange is about to become law, now that the state Senate has followed the House and passed the legislation enacting the cornerstone of the Obama Administration's 2010 health care overhaul.
Gov. Mark Dayton has promised to sign into law the contentious health insurance exchange bill that was approved by the House and Senate. The legislation enacts a new online marketplace where more than a million Minnesotans will obtain health insurance starting in October.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio reporter Elizabeth Stawicki, who's has been covering the long-running debate in Minnesota over the exchange as well as the health care overhaul.
