Lawmakers and some government employees could see a boost in their wages starting next year.
The state Compensation Council approved a plan Monday night to raise the pay of the governor, legislators and state commissioners.
Under the plan, legislators would earn almost $10,000 more annually. But in order to go into effect, the raises still need to be approved by the Legislature and governor.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Compensation Council Chair Tom Fraser.
