North Minneapolis native, Makeda Zulu-Gillespie, is the community outreach director for the University of Minnesota's Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center.
Zulu-Gillespie still lives in north Minneapolis. She took MPR's Tom Crann on a tour of the tornado zone and pointed out where cleanup has been completed -- and where there is still work to be done.
