Spirit Airlines begins flying out of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport this summer. This week it's advertising flights from Minneapolis to Chicago or Las Vegas for about 29-dollars.
Sounds like a pretty good deal, right?
The carrier is known for its rock-bottom flight prices, but an advertised fare is not always the full price a customer ends up paying. The airline charges extra for nearly everything, except your actual seat. Washington Post travel reporter Andrea Sachs recently flew on Spirit Airlines from Washington, D.C. to Ft. Lauderdale.
