Capitol news update with MPR's Tim Pugmire

DFL Gov. Mark Dayton delivers his State of the State address this week to a Republican-controlled Legislature that he's spent a lot of time criticizing this session.

Dayton recently described GOP leaders as "unfit to govern" and "too extreme to lead." But he insists he's ready to work with those same leaders on legislation aimed at creating jobs.

Republicans will roll out one of their key jobs proposals this week, and they'll also take up issues ranging from teacher tenure to the parole of sex offenders.

MPR's Tim Pugmire talks with Cathy Wurzer about the latest news out of the Capitol.
