Morning Edition producer Curtis Gilbert scouted the State Fair Midway last week to determine which game has the best chance for me to win a stuffed animal. Curtis determined that the game where you break plates by throwing balls would give a player the best shot at winning.
So Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer went to the Fair and found the plate-breaking booth and carny Robert Kitt. It didn't go well.
After five throws, Cathy was down to her last ball and had yet to break a plate. The sixth one was the charm. She broke one plate and got a booby prize, a small stuffed dog which she named Robert, in honor of Robert Kitt.
