Veteran news anchor Dennis Anderson is retiring from WDIO-TV. The Hall of Fame broadcaster started in radio in 1961 at a Virginia, Minn. station before working in TV. He joined WDIO in Duluth in 1969 and has enjoyed a long career since.
During the last four decades, Anderson has been more than just a news anchor. He became an ordained deacon in the Catholic Church, and he even doubled as a funeral director for a few years in between TV assignments. He's a man of many interests, but Anderson told MPR's Cathy Wurzer he's never lost his love for covering the news.
