State help may be on the way for southern Minnesota residents flooded out by last week's freak deluge of rain. Up to ten inches of rain fell across a wide swath of southern Minnesota, causing substantial damage to towns like Zumbro Falls.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with the Minnesota Republican Senate Minority Leader Dave Senjem, who represents a district in a hard-hit part of the state, about the possiblity of a special legislative session to help communities recover from flood damage.
