A suspicious piece of luggage led to the shutdown of parts of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for about an hour on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities gave the "all-clear" after they found no threat.

All Things Considered host Tom Crann talked to former Northwest Airlines Security chief Douglas Laird about the incident. He's president of Laird Associates, an aviation security consulting firm based in Reno, Nevada.
