DNR panel to advise on invasive species

Health insurers are under tight deadlines to bring out new plans under the federal health care overhaul. The government released its proposed regulations spelling out what the plans have to cover only last month. But those rules aren't final yet. Insurers say they're scrambling to develop the new products in a matter of months when the process would normally take at least a year.
Dayton plan could expand sales tax
The major tax overhaul that Minnesota lawmakers are expected to consider next year could include some significant changes in the state sales tax. Extending the sales tax to clothing remains an unpopular and unlikely option, but many other transactions could be taxed for the first time as a way to boost state revenues.
