State Sen. Housley opens bid for Franken seat
State Sen. Karin Housley is the first Republican to announce a campaign to fill the seat of Democratic Sen. Al Franken, a sudden opening that has many in politics eyeing it up.

The DFL leader of the Minnesota Senate says he expects a lawsuit over the dispute about a pending vacancy in the lieutenant governor's office.
