Here in Minnesota we're used to freezing temperatures and snowy roads in December. Snow plows stand ready. Winter coats are hanging by the door. But in the Middle East, full-blown winter is something rare.
The snow shouldn't last long thought -- temps in the region are forecasted to reach the 50s by next week.

A National Weather Service observer reported 26 inches of snow north of Two Harbors late Tuesday night. Duluth was buried under at least 16 inches. Forecasters say much of the region will see another 8 to 12 inches Wednesday.
