Protesters walked from south Minneapolis, blocked part of Interstate 35W and rallied at Minneapolis City Hall protesting police brutality and racism around the country Thursday afternoon.
Southern Minnesota got socked with snow Wednesday while plows struggled to keep roads clear for people getting ready for Thanksgiving. Others got out and enjoyed the white stuff.
Protests at the University of Minnesota, at a police station in south Minneapolis and marching down University Avenue in St. Paul all focused on racism and police brutality in the wake of the grand jury decision not to indict a white police officer in the killing of a black man in Ferguson, Missouri.
