North Star Grand Prix finale has uphill climb to finish line
The North Star Grand Prix race in Stillwater last Sunday is considered the grand finale of the six-stage North Star Grand Prix, and puts riders to the test with the 24 percent grade climb up Chilkoot Hill. The women's race climbs the hill 14 times, the men's race 23 times.

The event, which featured music, food and a variety of vendors, observes the 1865 proclamation abolishing slavery in Texas. Juneteenth is celebrated across the country, and the Twin Cities community event is one of the largest in the country.
U.S. windsurfing championship comes to Minnesota
A town doesn't have to be on a coast to boast some great windsurfing. Worthington, a town of about 12,000 in southwest Minnesota near the Iowa border, is playing host this weekend to the U.S. Windsurfing National Championships and Unvarnished Music Festival. Windsurfers from around the world will take to Lake Okabena to compete.
