The polls may open at 7 a.m. on Election Day, but polling places are buzzing much earlier than that. Reporter Nikki Tundel stopped by the Nokomis Community Center in Minneapolis to catch some of the election preparations.
The Republican and DFL candidates for governor held rallies Saturday that featured national political stars. President Barack Obama campaigned for Mark Dayton at the University of Minnesota, while U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann stumped with Tom Emmer at a GOP event in Woodbury.

The Minnesota National Guard held a deployment ceremony Thursday at the Cedar Street Armory in St. Paul honoring 12 soldiers heading to Afghanistan for a year-long tour of duty.
Lions, tigers, and leopards are a few of the breeds housed at the Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, Minn. The sanctuary is closed to the public and is solely funded by private funds. Since it's not open to the public, most of the donors will never see the cats in person.
