Greta Cunningham
Meet Greta Cunningham
Greta Cunningham is a reporter, newscaster and host for Minnesota Public Radio. She has worked at MPR since 1991 and has taught news writing and reporting at the University of Minnesota. She's an award-winning journalist and her reporting has been featured on National Public Radio, the BBC and American Public Media programs. Greta has interviewed people from all walks of lifeâfrom Captain Kangaroo to Minnesota's U.S. Senators. Greta's essay highlighting the beauty of urban Minnesota appears in the book Voices from the Land, published by Milkweed Editions and the Minnesota Historical Society. Her story of learning to knit appears in the book Knitting Yarns and Spinning Tales. Greta's writing has also appeared in the Star Tribune and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Greta is a graduate of Boston University and has a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota. She's a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha national honor society, which honors academic excellence and scholarship in journalism.
