MinnesotaCare shift to vouchers off to slow start
The Healthy Minnesota Contribution Program was supposed to shift 4,200 people from the MinnesotaCare program to a voucher system. But the program itself is having a hard time getting off the ground.
The Anoka-Hennepin School Board listened to testimony but took no action Monday evening after a group presented a petition seeking the ouster of one member of the district's anti-bullying task force.
Corps not budging on Miss. River flap
The Army Corps of Engineers has turned back requests by federal lawmakers and the barge industry to release more water from the Missouri River, believing the drought-starved Mississippi River it feeds still will remain open to shipping despite mounting concerns about water levels.
They're moving at least one oversized load onto the old Twin Cities Assembly Plant property in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood. That beauty right there rolled down Ford Parkway and through the front gate as the snow started this afternoon.
