Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 158 Ukrainian drones overnight, including two over Moscow and nine over the surrounding region, the Defense Ministry said Sunday.
According to official data, at least 115,000 people have disappeared in Mexico since 1952. In the last two decades, specific causes and perpetrators have blurred as officials have fought drug cartels and organized crime has tightened its grip in several states. But human trafficking, kidnapping, acts of retaliation and forced recruitment are some of the reasons listed by human rights organizations.

In Kyiv's suburb of Bucha, 70 new female recruits have joined in recent months. The women work in shifts and rush to duty when air raid sirens blare. The United States military and Iraq launched a joint raid targeting suspected Islamic State group militants in the country’s western desert that killed at least 15 people and saw seven American troops hurt. The U.S. military’s Central Command alleged Saturday that the militants were armed with “numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive ‘suicide’ belts” during the attack, which Iraqi forces said happened on Thursday in the country’s Anbar Desert.
In an internal memo obtained by NPR, U.S. officials warn that Israel’s “drastically increased” evacuation orders in Gaza have further displaced Palestinians and could debilitate aid efforts.
