Judge Robert Kressel was not happy that the archdiocese has relied on legal notices to inform abuse victims that they have until Aug. 3 to file a claim.
Doug Devorak claims Sister Mary Regina Hebig repeatedly fondled him when he was a fifth grader at St. Michael's Catholic School in Madison, Minn. Hebig is no longer alive.
The lawsuit, filed in Stearns County, accused the Rev. Allen Tarlton of abusing a St. John's Preparatory School student in about 1977. It said the abbey knew of abuse allegations against Tarlton and failed to call police or warn students and parents.
