President Joe Biden and other leaders announced on Wednesday that negotiators from Israel and Hamas reached an agreement to pause the war for a 42-day ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza. News of the deal raised hopes that a 15-month war could soon come to an end. But, Israel has failed to ratify the agreement.
