U of M to oversee multi-state effort to help unlock federal funding for climate projects
The University of Minnesota has received a $10 million grant to lead a multi-state effort to help rural, tribal and underserved communities unlock a massive pool of federal money for energy, environmental and climate projects.
The grant will go towards creating technical assistance centers in six states to help communities apply for and secure federal resources. These centers are planned to begin operation this summer.
Associate Professor Bonnie Keeler of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs is one of the leads of the initiative and she shared more about it on this week’s Climate Cast.
