This comes as the U.S. faces an Adderall shortage — a drug that is often used to treat the condition.

Coming up, MPR News host Angela Davis talks with a journalist who was diagnosed in her 30s with ADHD and a psychiatrist who pioneered treating ADHD in adults with mindfulness techniques. They’ll talk about the signs of ADHD in girls and women, how it’s diagnosed, and some tips to help manage the condition.
