“Unfortunately, a huge share of the new funds will actually go toward expanding highways and building new roads. In each of those cases, the likely impact will be increased carbon emissions and ecological degradation, which I think is really problematic,” said Urban Institute senior researcher Yonah Freemark on this week’s episode.
