Have you heard about the proposal to expand Lutsen Mountain’s Ski Area?
The owners have asked the U.S. Forest Service for permission to expand 500 acres into the Superior National Forest. Some people are thrilled at the prospect. But there are others who are opposed.
The proposal has garnered a lot of attention, so the Forest Service has extended the amount of time the public can comment on the proposal. Residents now have until Dec. 9 to submit their comments.
Joe Friedrichs, the news director at radio station WTIP in Grand Marais, Minn., joined host Cathy Wurzer for the latest developments.
