With 31 percent of the vote, 25-year-old Azrin Awal, an immigrant from Bangladesh, won one of two at-large seats on the Duluth City Council.
Awal is an undergraduate student in public health, a full-time youth advocate and the first Muslim and Asian American elected to the Duluth City Council.
She joined host Cathy Wurzer to talk about her campaign strategies, the significance of her win and her priorities.
