Ice cream is the quintessential summer treat. Why? Well, it’s cold, so that helps. And it’s sweet, but the same can be said for frozen yogurt and popsicles. And yet, who waxes rhapsodically about either of those? Here in Minnesota, ice cream owns the season.

Maybe you grew up with the big scoops from Nelson’s. Maybe you’d stroll along the North Shore with a waffle cone bursting with seasonally sweet strawberry ice cream. Or maybe your childhood treat was a Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen

Host Angela Davis talked about making and eating ice cream with two Minnesota ice cream shop owners and an expert in dairy science.
