The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way many people ate. Stress, economic hardship and lifestyle changes affected eating habits, and many people reported that their diets worsened over the past year. Nutritionists heard concerns about people skipping meals, restricting eating or overeating.

Host Angela Davis spoke with a nutritionist about eating healthy, how to reduce the amount of sugar and salt in our diets and adding more nutritious foods to our meals.

And Chris Farrell, MPR senior economics contributor, joined us to talk about the current state of the economy.

Guests:

  • Jamie Stang is an associate professor of epidemiology and community health at the University of Minnesota.

  • Kristi Hughes is a functional medicine practitioner and a naturopathic doctor.
