Scholar and author Ibram X. Kendi’s 2019 book “How to be an Antiracist” remains a best seller, and calls for anti-racist policies and practices can be heard in discussions Minnesotans are having on everything from police reform to education disparities.
MPR News host Angela Davis interviewed Kendi last week as part of the Distinguished Carlson Lecture at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
He talked about the first presidential debate, criticism on Twitter following comments about Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, and why he remains hopeful about the antiracist movement.
