The United States health care system isn’t without its flaws. But in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, officials are trying to figure out how to stop those flaws, like the number of uninsured and out-of-pocket costs, from dragging people and the system further down.
MPR News host Kerri Miller talked with a health policy analyst about what the novel coronavirus is showing us about the health care system, the strain it’s causing and predicted to cause, and what this might mean for health care after the pandemic ends.
