A conversation with Eric Jolly
Eric Jolly's path to become the president and CEO of the St. Paul and Minnesota Foundation is an interesting one. He grew up in poverty, in a home without indoor plumbing. His Cherokee grandmother taught him how to weave baskets. Now, a basket that he wove is part of the collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Jolly became a scientist who taught chimpanzees sign language. He was the president of the Science Museum of Minnesota. And now he leads the largest community foundation in the state. Angela Davis talks to Jolly about his life, career and the mission of the foundation, which marks its 80th anniversary this year.
