Our well-advertised slowly moving front dropped a deluge of rainfall from around the Twin Cities westward Thursday night into Friday. 

More than a month’s worth of rain fell at several locations west of the Twin Cities. There were some prolific rainfall totals from Willmar to Montevideo.

The chart below shows some of the highest 

 from around Minnesota. Note that some reports are from earlier Friday and additional rain may have fallen since then.

Our stubbornly soggy weather pattern will keep a few scattered showers in the forecast this weekend. We’ll heavy many dry hours, but expect a few more hours of showers.

Highs Saturday under mainly cloudy skies will struggle to reach the 70s in many areas. Sunday looks warmer with peeks of sunshine especially in the afternoon for Father’s Day. Cooler near your favorite Great Lake.

Next week has the look of summer with highs generally in the 80s.

You’ll notice more humidity as dew points rise through the 60s next week. Scattered thunder chances will remain in the forecast next week.
