Many areas that missed significant rain last week could get it Monday night into Tuesday. Wind and cool temperatures persist along with the rain, but brighter days are ahead. 

The cooler-than-normal conditions continue early this week as clouds thicken up ahead of more rain developing Monday with another windy day. 

Winds will blow at 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph from the west Monday, making it feel even cooler and raw.

Rain will continue to slowly expand across southwestern Minnesota into central Minnesota by late Monday afternoon and evening. Rain persists into Monday night and Tuesday with showers wrapping up early Wednesday. 

Significant rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches or more are possible for much of southern Minnesota. This moisture could erase May rainfall deficits so far. 

Clouds decrease Wednesday with brighter days ahead into the upcoming holiday weekend. Temperatures will also gradually warm to normal levels, into the 60s and low 70s by week’s end.
